Field Recording -- Drift

Drift Strategy
For my Drift strategy I used two different techniques to determine change in direction and distance to travel. To calculate my direction, I would flip two coins (at the same time), and let them fall on the ground, and let the combination of the coins' sides decide:
  • Heads-Heads: turn left
  • Tails-Tails: turn right
  • Heads-tails: Keep going straight
Knowing the direction I had to walk, I still had to determine how far I would walk. To do this I took the spinner used on the famous board game "The Game of LIFE". I would spin the spinner (labeled with the numbers 1-10) and I would look in the direction of where I was walking, If I was somewhere more urban, I would go that number of blocks. If it was somewhere more rural, I would use those as steps (1 = 100 steps, 10 = 1000 steps).
